Meet the Team

At Auburn University at Montgomery, we take pride in our academic excellence. We offer more than 90 majors, minors and pre-professional programs that will prepare students to be competitive when it’s time to enter the workforce.

From our small classroom sizes and flexible class schedules to our many academic resources, we believe in putting our students’ needs first. All five of our colleges — Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Public Policy and Justice — are academically challenging, providing a level of rigor and quality that will prepare our students for their futures.

As a result, our colleges are among the top performers in the state in their respective fields. In fact, Auburn University at Montgomery is ranked among the South's top universities by U.S. News and World Report and was named one of the best colleges in the Southeast by The Princeton Review. Consistently chosen the best university in the area, Auburn Montgomery provides students with detailed knowledge and hands-on, practical experience, often from professionals in the field.

AUM allows students to realize their potential. Faculty, staff, and students contribute in their own way to the AUM experience. While attending AUM, you become part of something more than a university. You become part of a family.

Attending college is a serious investment, but it doesn’t have to be a stressful one. With proper planning — including identifying and taking advantage of grants, student loans and work-study opportunities — there are many ways to finance your college degree. In addition to financial aid, AUM offers several scholarships. In fact, we awarded more than $2 million dollars in scholarships last year.  We recommend starting early as students must be admitted by March 1 to be eligible for many opportunities.  We also offer an outstanding out-of-state scholarship that can help bring tuition inline with in-state tuition for students meeting the requirements. Check out all we have to offer and give us a call if you need any help!

The AUM Financial Aid Office provides a variety of services to help you finance your education. From grants to student loans, to college work-study, we offer over $40 million in financial assistance to students annually. We've tried to answer your questions on this site, but our staff will be happy to assist you if you have additional questions.

The Office of Orientation and Transitions provides all new students with a comprehensive introduction to the AUM community by blending diverse backgrounds through academic instruction, transitions and campus engagement.

New student orientation is a great opportunity for new students to learn about AUM programs and traditions, register for classes for the upcoming semester and connect to campus and fellow students. Whether you are a new freshman, transfer, non-traditional student or veteran, there is a special place for you at orientation.

New student orientation will help you to develop the skills to meet the challenges of college. Because you probably have many questions about AUM and college life in general, we have planned an orientation program especially for you.

At orientation you can --
  • Confirm your class schedule or register for classes.
  • Learn more about student services and activities.
  • Learn about academic support services and campus life.
  • Take campus tours.
  • Meet upper-class students who will assist you in beginning your college experience.

Message from the Chancellor

Thank you for your interest in Auburn University at Montgomery, where we put students first.

Our students know that AUM administration and professors — many of them distinguished academics and practitioners in their fields — take a genuine interest in their success, earning AUM a spot on The Princeton Review’s 2015 list of Best Colleges in the Southeast.

And while our Warhawks grow academically and build their professional networks in a hands-on learning environment, they also enjoy a collegiate setting with strong social and cultural networking opportunities, like Greek organizations, academic and special interest clubs, Study Abroad, championship-winning sports teams, and energizing school spirit.

You’re deciding now how to invest in your future. Know that AUM is ready to invest in you.
